Directions
How to use
Bath
Add 250g Magnesium Flakes (roughly 2 cups) per bath.
Lie back and relax for 20 minutes. Increase amount for a more intensive experience.
Footbath
Add 150g Magnesium Flakes (roughly 1 cup) to approx. 5 litres of water, enough to cover feet.
Sit and relax for 20 minutes.
It is recommended to take a magnesium bath 2 to 3 times a week. Your skin will feel pleasant, smooth and supple.
Dosage
1kg of Magnesium Flakes contains 120g of elemental magnesium.
Storage
Magnesium Flakes are very hygroscopic and will quickly absorb moisture if left opened. Store in a dry place and quickly reseal opened bags.
Use within 12 months of opening.
Warnings
For external use only; Avoid contact with eyes; Do not use on damaged or broken skin.
Supplements should not replace a balanced diet or healthy lifestyle.
The Magnesium Tingle
On initial application you may experience a slight tingling sensation. This may indicate low magnesium levels and is the result of the high speed absorption of magnesium through the pores. - The magnesium chloride we use is a solution mined in Veendam in the Netherlands. It is mined from an ancient seabed that has been condensed and purified for over 250 million years. To mine the magnesium chloride, spring water is carefully pumped down to dissolve the seam and the solution is brought up to the surface. This solution is the foundation of our Magnesium Body Sprays, Lotions, Gel and Flakes.
- Unfortunately due to the fact our products are natural, occasionally crystallisation can occur in the pump mechanism, preventing it from working. This can often occur if the spray hasn't been stored at room temperature or hasn't been used in a while.
- This can easily be fixed by removing the pump from the bottle and running it under a warm tap for a few minutes while pressing down on the pump to help remove the blockage.
- Our magnesium products have been developed to be applied directly to the skin, so we do not recommend taking them orally.
- There are no contraindications with any of our transdermal magnesium products.
- Transdermal magnesium is perfectly safe to use during pregnancy with no restrictions on dosage levels during this time.
- All our Magnesium products are suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding, with a full list of suitable products being found
- You do not need to worry about overdosing when using transdermal magnesium. Upper limits are only set when using the product orally, as large doses can have a laxative effect due to it being a natural relaxant.
